HOOGERHEIDE (NED), CYCLOCROSS, February 5th
Mathieu van der Poel became cyclocross world champion in Hoogerheide by beating Wout van Aert in a sprint of two. The World Championship turned into an insanely exciting duel between the top favourites, who pushed each other to the limit. In the sprint, Van der Poel played it up to surprise, outpacing Van Aert. Eli Iserbyt grabbed the bronze.
